The UNC Greensboro Spartans visit the Samford Bulldogs in SoCon college basketball action.

The UNC Greensboro Spartans are one of the teams to beat in the SoCon and looked the part in downing Radford 65-58 for a 4thstraight win. UNC Greensboro took a nine point lead after 20 minutes and traded baskets the rest of the way behind a 47.2%-38.3% shooting edge.

Isaiah Miller led a balanced Spartans offense with 14 points and five pulls on 6-9 accuracy followed by Francis Alonso with eleven points on 4-16 shooting. Eric Hamilton gave UNCG ten points, four pulls and three blocks with Kyrin Galloway adding nine points and five boards.

The Samford Bulldogs enter SoCon play off of an 83-70 defeat at Tennessee as a 23 point underdog that ended a three game winning streak. Samford went to the locker room trailing by nine and didn’t have the firepower for a comeback with the Volunteers holding a 57.9%-36.5% edge in marksmanship.

Ruben Guerrero topped the Bulldogs with 16 points and eight rebounds on 5-10 accuracy and 6-9 at the line with Kevion Nolan tossing in 13 points on 5-7 from the floor. Myron Gordon gave Samford 12 points on 3-9 and 5-5 while Josh Sharkey added ten points, ten rebounds and seven assists.

UNCG are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 vs. Southern and over is 37-17-1 in UNCG last 55 road games. Samford  are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall and over is 42-15 in Samford last 57 vs. Southern and under is 7-3 in Samford last 10 overall. Over is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings and UNCG are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
