Samford Bulldogs +7.5 O/U: 147
The Wofford Terriers and the Samford Bulldogs will match up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Wofford sits at 25-4 this season. The Terriers haven’t lost a game since way back on December 19 against MS State, and they’ve taken out VMI, UNCG, Furman and Chattanooga in just their last four.
In the win over the Mocs, Wofford’s top scorer was Fletcher Magee with 18 points, three rebounds and two assists. Cameron Jackson doubled up for the Terriers there with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Nathan Hoover added 11 points.
Over on the Samford side, they’re 16-14 this year. Following consecutive wins over VMI and Chattanooga, the Bulldogs have lost their last three to Mercer, the Citadel and Furman.
In the loss to the Paladins, the Bulldogs were led by Myron Gordon’s 21 points, four rebounds and four assists. Kevion Nolan added 18 points for Samford in that one, and Robert Allen led the rebounding with 13.
The Terriers are 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games and 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Wofford is 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 7-1 ATS in their last eight versus the Southern.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and 0-5-1 ATS in their last six home games. The over is 4-1 in Samford’s last five home games and 36-17 in their last 53 overall.
Wofford is waltzing through everyone on the schedule these days, and they haven’t really been in a close game since a 78-76 win over ETSU back on February 7.
Samford gave the Terriers all they could handle in a 107-106 Wofford win the last time these teams met up however, so this one should be a great matchup. Still, I’m firmly on the Wofford bandwagon right now and I think they’re still in control here.
