The MWC college basketball playoffs heat up with the San Diego State Aztecs facing the UNLV Rebels.
The UNLV rebels won consecutive contests to end the regular season after squeezing by the Colorado State Rams 65-60 as a 2.5 point road dog.
Kris Clyburn keyed the Rebels upset with a game high of 20 points and five pulls while Noah Robotham tossed in 12 points and handed out eight assists.
Amauri Hardy and Cheikh Mbacke Diong gave UNLV eight points each with Hardy grabbing seven rebounds with Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua posting six boards.
The San Diego State Aztecs have dropped three of four heading to the postseason following an 81-53 defeat at the Nevada Wolf Pack.
Jeremy Hemsley was the Aztecs top threat with 16 points followed by Devin Watson who tossed in 14 points with two yanks.
San Diego State saw another 14 points and nine rebounds from Matt Mitchell while Jalen McDaniels chipped in with five points and seven boards.
UNLV Runnin' Rebels are 9-19-1 ATS in their last 29 games following a straight up win and are 19-46-4 ATS in their last 69 vs. Mountain West and are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games.
San Diego State Aztecs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games and are 19-8 ATS in their last 27 vs. Mountain West and are 30-14-4 ATS in their last 48 games following a ATS loss.
Favorite is 5-0-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings and UNLV Runnin' Rebels are 6-20-2 ATS in the last 28 meetings.
I would think the Aztecs are the better team but both sides have ugly performances that make backing them a bit unnerving…
