The Spartans are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Mountain West, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Lobos are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings and the favorite is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings. The over is 13-6 in Lobos last 19 road games. The over is 4-1 in Spartans last 5 overall.
Laying this sort of chalk with a bad New Mexico team just doesn't feel right, but there's no reason to even consider San Jose State. The San Jose State Spartans haven't only gone more than two months without a victory, but they're losing their last five games by an average of 24.4 points and at home by an average of 11.6 points. New Mexico beat San Jose State a couple of weeks ago by 32 points, a game in which they shot 50 percent from the field and made 14 threes. Backing San Jose State is a no go with these eye popping numbers. It's the New Mexico Lobos or pass for me.
