Savannah State Tigers -6.5. O/U: 155
The Delaware State Hornets and the Savannah State Tigers will meet up in college basketball’s MEAC Tournament on Monday.
Delaware State is currently sitting at 5-24 on the season. The Hornets managed a win over Coppin State last month, but since have dropped to Morgan State, Norfolk State and Maryland-Eastern Shore.
In the game versus the Hawks, Delaware State’s top scorer was Johquin Wiley with 18 points, two rebounds and three assists. Kevin Larkin also had a nice line for the Hornets with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Over on the Savannah State side, they’re 11-19 this year. The Tigers had a three-game losing streak going versus NC Central, NC A&T and Howard, but won their last outing versus South Carolina State.
In the SC State game, Savannah State’s top scorer was Jaquan Dotson with 25 points, eight rebounds and one assist. Romani Hansen also had a nice line for the Tigers there with 17 points and four rebounds.
Delaware State is 6-14 ATS in their last 20 neutral-site games and 7-15 ATS in the last 22 after a straight-up loss. The Hornets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and the under is 7-1 in the last eight neutral-site games.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last four Monday games and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. Savannah State is 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 versus the MEAC and 4-9-2 ATS in their last 15 after an ATS win.
Savannah State took the last game these two met up, securing a 76-73 win at Delaware State. Considering the way the Hornets have been playing since however, and also considering that this will be on neutral ground with no home lift for the Hornets, I’m going to go with Savannah State on the cover here.
