Southeast Missouri State Redhawks +9 O/U: 135
The Jacksonville State Gamecocks and the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Jacksonville State is currently sitting at 16-8 on the year. After beating Morehead State and Murray State in consecutive games, the Gamecocks have dropped their last pair to Austin Peay and TN-Martin.
In the loss to the Skyhawks, Jacksonville State’s Marlon Hunter led the way on 16 points with three rebounds and two assists. Jason Burnell doubled up for the Gamecocks in that one with 12 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Over on the Southeast Missouri State side, they’re 8-16 this season. After dropping consecutive games versus Belmont and Tennessee State, the Redhawks managed a tight win over Tennessee Tech their last time out.
In the OT win over the Eagles, SEMO’s Gabe McGlothan had a big game on 27 points and 16 rebounds. Ledarrius Brewer added 11 points and five boards for the Redhawks there, and Nygal Russell put up 10 points.
The Gamecocks are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 after a straight-up loss and the under is 42-16-1 in their last 59 after an ATS loss. The under is 21-8 in Jacksonville State’s last 29 Saturday games and 39-18-1 in the last 58 versus the OVC.
Meanwhile, the Redhawks are 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS win and 0-5 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win. The over is 6-1 in SEMO’s last seven after an ATS win and the under is 9-3 in their last 12 Saturday games.
The Gamecocks should be sitting on a four-game win streak right now, as they lost to Austin Peay by three and TN-Martin by just two points. Losses like those really hurt as the season winds down.
That said, SEMO is incredibly sketchy on the scoreboard these days, and I don’t have a lot of trust in them putting up solid numbers here. I’m going to go with Jacksonville State on a road cover.
