OVC college basketball continues with the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks hosting the SIU-Edwardsville Cougars.

The SIU-Edwardsville Cougars are mired in a five game slide following an 82-72 loss to Murray State Saturday as a 14 point home dog.

SIU-Edwardsville was poised for the upset until the Racers pulled away with a 42-34 second half run behind 54.3% shooting.

Tyresse Williford led all scores with 33 points with four pulls and four helpers while Brandon Jackson gave the Cougars 13 points and six boards.

SIUE received seven points, four boards and three assists from David McFarland followed by Treavon Martin and Cameron Williams with six and five points.

The Southeast Missouri State Redbirds fell to 1-5 in the Ohio Valley following an 85-83 loss at Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.

Southeast Missouri State trailed by nine points at the intermission with a late rally narrowing the gap behind 45.6% shooting.

Skylar Hogan was the top Redhawks option with 20 points and five boards followed by a 14 point effort by Ledarrius Brewer.

SE Missouri State saw ten points from Alex Caldwell while Jonathan Dalton, Mark Laros and Gabe McGlothan scored eight points each.

SIUE Cougars are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and  are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss. Southeast Missouri State Redhawks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up loss and  are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games. SIUE Cougars are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and over is 12-3 in the last 15 meetings.

I think the over is more viable then the side give the inconsistent play of each team…
