The Siena Saints host the Cal Poly Mustangs in non-conference college basketball action.

The Cal Poly Mustangs are looking at a three game skid following a 75-70 OT loss to visiting Texas-Arlington. Cal Poly took a six point lead in to the intermission and held a slight 41.9%-39.7% shooting edge but were done in at the charity stripe where 29 fouls turned in to a Mavericks 23-8 advantage.

The twosome of Donovan Fields and Mark Crowe gave the Mustangs 18 points apiece and five steals on 13-24 marksmanship. Cal Poly received ten points, four pulls and three steals from Marcellus Garrick on 3-13 followed Junior Ballard with eight points and seven rebounds.

The Siena Saints need a change in momentum after suffering defeats in three of four after a 60-57 loss at Holy Cross as an 8.5 point road dog. Siena led by five points at the break but never found their offense in the second half with the Crusaders holding a 54.3%-42.6% shooting edge.

Evan Fisher kept the Saints competitive with 17 points and nine rebounds on 8-14 marksmanship. Siena received 14 points, four pulls and eight helpers on 6-13 from the floor while Jimmy Ratliff contributed eight points.

Cal Poly  are 4-13-2 ATS in their last 19 road games and Cal Poly are 16-41-1 ATS in their last 58 Saturday games and Cal Poly are 21-48-2 ATS in their last 71 games overall. Siena Saints are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and Siena Saints are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win.

These teams look to be close enough to take the points with neither side doing much…

Pick:
Cal Poly +5.5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
