Eastern Illinois has lost 4 of their last 5 games and currently rank 191st in scoring offense, T-279th in scoring defense, and 235th in defensive FG%.
SIU-Edwardsville has lost 8 of their last 11 games and although they’ve been decent at putting up points, ranking 170th in scoring offense, the Cougars have really struggled defensively as they come into this match-up ranked just 341st in scoring defense & 350th in defensive FG%.
Both of these teams have been struggling as of late, however, Eastern Illinois has been playing much better than the Cougars as of late as they are coming off competitive road losses to two of the best OVC teams this season in Murray State & Austin Peay. SIU-Edwardsville is a better team at home, however, I just can’t trust their defense and as Eastern Illinois has been solid on the road ATS as of late, I’m taking Eastern Illinois to cover this small road spread.
