The Gamecocks are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a losing home record, however, are just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Cougars are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, however, are just 8-20-2 ATS in their last 30 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
Jacksonville State has won 8 of their last 10 games and currently rank 70th in scoring offense, 97th in scoring defense, and 45th in defensive FG%.
Jacksonville State still has something to play for here as although they are a game behind in the OVC standings of both Murray State & Belmont, the Gamecocks hold the tiebreaker on both teams so they still can possibly end up as the regular season OVC champion. The Gamecocks defeated SIU-Edwardsville by a 90-54 margin at home earlier this season and as I just don’t see Cougars being able to have much success on either end of the court against the Gamecocks, I’m taking Jacksonville State to cover this large road spread.
