Friday college basketball brings us a bout between the South Alabama Jaguars and the Chattanooga Mocs.

The Chattanooga Mocs upped their record to 2-1 with an easy 92-61 victory against sub-division Cumberland on Tuesday. Chattanooga rode  45.6% accuracy and a +23 on the backboards to ten more looks at the basket to subdue the 36.2% shooting Phoenix.

The Mocs received 18 points from the twosome of Kevin Easley and Thomas Smallwood on a combined 12-24 from the field with Smallwood hauling in 18 rebounds. Chattanooga saw 12 points from Donovann Toatley while five players netted between 7-8 points.

The South Alabama Jaguars evened their record at 1-1 with a one sided 106-76 victory versus sub-division Huntington. This was never in doubt with South Alabama burning the nets at 57.9% with a 40-21 advantage on the backboards.

Abdul Dial topped the Jaguars with 23 points and six pulls with Jordan Andrews tossing in 18 points followed a 15 point, ten assist effort from Trhae Mitchell. USA received another 14 points from RJ Kelly while Josh Ajayi and Herb McGee netted 12 and eleven points with Ajayi posting another nine rebounds.

Chattanooga are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall and  are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. Sun Belt and over is 6-2-1 in Chattanooga last 9 Friday games. USA are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games and under is 17-8 in USA last 25 non-conference games.

Chattanooga is going to lose more then they win but there is talent that can be competitive on a nightly basis…

Pick:
Chattanooga +11

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
