The South Alabama Jaguars host the Troy Trojans in a Saturday college basketball tilt.

The Troy Trojans look to get back in the win column after an 86-81 defeat versus UL Lafayette as a five point road underdog.

Troy faced a five point hole heading to the locker room and proceeded to exchange baskets over the second half.

Jordon Varnado kept the Trojans in the contest pouring in 33 points and snagging eleven rebounds with Alex Hicks adding 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Javan Johnson gave Troy another 20 points and six boards but the rest of the team could only manage a combined eight points.

The  South Alabama  Jaguars  defeated UL  Monroe  78-72 as  a nine  point  road dog  that  ended a  five  game losing  streak.

South Alabama trailed by two points at the break before breaking loose on a 46-38 run behind 52.7% marksmanship.

Trhae Mitchell carried the Jaguars with 23 points and seven boards followed by Josh Ajayi with 19 points and eight rebounds.

USA received 16 points and three yanks from John Pettway while Herb McGee contributed 12 points, three pulls and four assists.
