Big South college basketball action continues Monday with the South Carolina Upstate Spartans hosting the Presbyterian Blue Hose.
The Presbyterian Blue Hose are gunning for a third straight win after upending Longwood 71-64 on Saturday as a six point home favorite.
Presbyterian led by seven point heading to the locker room and traded baskets over the final 20 minutes behind a 40.4%-35.7% shooting edge.
Adam Flagler topped the Blue Hose offense with 21 points and five boards with Romeo Crouch adding 14 points and six rebounds.
Cory Hightower gave Presbyterian eleven points and 12 rebounds followed by a nine point, six board effort from Francois Lewis.
The South Carolina Upstate Spartans have kicked off their conference schedule at 0-5 after an 82-72 loss to visiting Winthrop on Saturday.
South Carolina Upstate appeared to be poised for the upset with an eight point lead at the halfway point but were unable to gets stops in the second half.
Deion Holmes kept the Spartans competitive with a contest high 32 points with six boards while Malik Moore added nine points and eight rebounds.
