South Carolina Gamecocks +7 O/U: 154.5
The Auburn Tigers and the South Carolina Gamecocks will meet up in college basketball action on Tuesday.
Auburn comes into this matchup at a solid 13-4 on the season. The Gamecocks fell to Ole Miss on January 9, then took out Georgia and Texas A&M before dropping another one to Kentucky.
In the loss to the Wildcats, Auburn’s Bryce Brown put up 28 points with three assists, and Jared Harper added 17 points with six assists. Also in double-figures for the Tigers there was Chuma Okeke with 11 points and six boards.
Over on the South Carolina side, they’re 9-8 this season. After a nice win streak over North Greenville, Florida, MS State, Missouri and Vanderbilt, the Gamecocks fell in their last outing to LSU.
In the loss to LSU, Gamecocks guard AJ Lawson led the team on 18 points with five rebounds. The only other South Carolina player in double-figures in that game was Keyshawn Bryant with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists.
The Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall. Auburn is 2-6 ATS in their last eight versus the SEC and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 following an ATS loss.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Tuesday games. South Carolina is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss.
Auburn is doing pretty well this year against the run-of-the-mill teams, but they seem to stumble against ranked opponents (although they did give Kentucky a good game). MS State is looming on the schedule after this one, and the Tigers will need to show some dominance there to regain their national footing.
South Carolina stands in the way of that however, so things won’t be as easy as just marking in a W. Still, I feel like the Tigers will pull it together in this one and manage a road cover.
