South Carolina Gamecocks -6 O/U: 147
The Georgia Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks will match up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Georgia comes in here at 11-19 on the year. The Bulldogs have won only one game since January 26 and they’re 1-2 in their last three with a win over Florida alongside losses to Auburn and Missouri.
In the loss to the Tigers, Georgia managed a tepid 39 points for the entire game. No Bulldogs player finished in double-figures in that one, but Nicolas Claxton came close on nine points and 10 rebounds.
Over on the South Carolina side, they’re 15-15 this season. The Gamecocks had a three-game losing streak going versus Mississippi State, Alabama and Missouri but won their last game versus Texas A&M.
In the win over the Aggies, South Carolina’s Chris Silva did most of the work on 22 points with 17 rebounds. Hassani Gravett also had a nice game for the Gamecocks there with 17 points and eight assists to his credit.
The Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six overall. Georgia is 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the SEC and 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 17-7-1 ATS in their last 25 versus the SEC. The over is 9-2 in South Carolina’s last 11 Saturday games and the under is 4-1 in their last five overall.
Georgia scored just 14 points in the first half of the Missouri game, which is a pretty miserable home total no matter who you’re playing against. Over the last two games, the Bulldogs have managed only 94 points total.
South Carolina had a bad scoring lull in their three-game losing streak (a high of 63 points), but in a home game I can’t imagine a lot of scenarios they’d get into trouble against the Bulldogs. I’m sticking with the Gamecocks here.
