The Missouri Tigers and the South Carolina Gamecocks meet in SEC conference college basketball action from the Colonial Life Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Missouri Tigers will look to rebound after suffering an 87-63 beatdown at the hands of Tennessee in their last outing. Xavier Pinson led the Tigers with 14 points on 3 of 7 shooting with a 7 of 8 mark from the foul line while Jordan Geist added 12 points and a team-high 5 assists as the only other Missouri player to score in double figures in the losing effort. Kevin Puryear and Mark Smith each added a team-high 5 rebounds, with Puryear outscoring Smith 9 points to 8. Geist leads Missouri with an average of 13.8 points and 2.9 assists per game while Jeremiah Tilmon leads the Tigers in rebounding with 6.2 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Missouri is averaging 68.6 points per game on 43.3% shooting from the field, 39.1% from behind the 3-point line and 68.7% from the foul line this season.

The South Carolina Gamecocks will look to build on their current 3-game winning streak after an 87-82 overtime win over Mississippi State in their last outing. Maik Kotsar led the Gamecocks with 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting with 9 rebounds while Hassani Gravett added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Chris Silva and Felipe Haase each contributed 11 points with Silva adding team-highs of 12 rebound and 4 assists for the double-double while Haase added 6 rebounds. Tre Campbell added 10 points, 3 assists and 3 steals to round out the group of double-digit scorers for South Carolina in the win. Silva leads the Gamecocks with an average of 12.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while A.J. Lawson leads South Carolina in assists with 3.1 assists per game this season. As a team, South Carolina is averaging 74.8 points per game on 42.1% shooting from the field, 31.6% from behind the 3-point line and 71.6% from the foul line this season.

Missouri is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a loss. South Carolina is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games and 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 conference games. Missouri is 3-0-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams at South Carolina.

It's worth noting that Missouri head coach Cuonzo Martin has never lost to South Carolina, going 6-0 in his career against the Gamecocks. With that said, I do like how South Carolina has been playing, taking down a couple of tough opponents in their last couple of outings against Florida and Mississippi State. However, I do think the Tigers have enough to keep this one close and keep it going down to the wire, so I’ll take a shot with Missouri and the points.

Missouri +4.5
