South Florida Bulls +6.5 O/U: 131.5
The Houston Cougars and the South Florida Bulls will match up in college basketball activity on Saturday.
Houston strolls into this game at 17-1 on the year thus far. Since falling to Temple back on January 9, the Cougars have topped Wichita State and SMU in their last two appearances.
In the win over the Mustangs, Houston’s Corey Davis led the way with 20 points, four rebounds and three assists. Armoni Brooks also had a nice line for the Cougars, bagging 19 points, five rebound and one assist.
Over on the USF side, they’re 12-5 on the season. The Bulls have slipped in their last four games at 1-3, beating Tulane but falling to Tulsa, Temple and Cincinnati in that time.
In the loss to the Bearcats, USF’s Laquincy Rideau led the team on his 26 points, four assists and three rebounds. Alexis Yetna added 12 points for the Bulls, and Michael Durr nearly doubled up on 10 points and nine rebounds.
The Cougars are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 versus the AAC. Houston is 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 Saturday games and 21-9-2 ATS in their last 32 overall.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 5-0 ATS in their last five overall and 8-0 ATS in their last eight versus the AAC. USF is 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 4-0 in their last four following an ATS win.
Houston is a dangerous team because they can beat you in a lot of different ways. The Cougars have a solid roster from top to bottom, and when the secondary scoring is clicking they’re tough to keep up with.
As for USF, they’ll waver on offense here and there, but they’ve got a solid defensive mind (usually) and can step on the court and compete with all but the highest levels.
I like the Bulls to show some moxie here and eke into this cover.
