The Tulane Green Wave lost their 4th straight game and dropped to 4-10 (0-2 AAC) on the season after being defeated by the SMU Mustangs, 74-65, this past Friday. Tulane couldn’t get much going on the offensive end agianst the SMU defense trailed by double-digits for the majority of the 2nd half after going into halftime trailing by a 37-27 margin. Tulane shot just 34.4% from the field & 21.4% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Green Wave was Samir Sehic who had a double-double with 20 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block.

Defensviely, Tulane is allowing their opponents to average 74.6 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field. The Green Wave have a rebound margin of -3.2 and a turnover margin of -3.4.
The South Florida Bulls had their 7-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 11-3 (1-1 AAC) on the season after being defeated by the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 78-75, this past Saturday. South Florida fought back from a 67-58 deficit with 2:57 left in regulation to tie the game at 75-all with just :06 seconds left, however, couldn’t force overtime after Tulsa’s Curran Scoot made a game-winning three-pointer as time expired. South Florida shot 43.5% from the field and 25.0% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Bulls was Alexis Yetna who had a double-double with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
On the season, South Florida is averaging 75.0 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field. The Bulls are averaging 6.5 three-pointers per game on 33.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, South Florida has been led by David Collins (14.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.2 apg, 2.5 spg), LaQuincy Rideau (14.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 5.6 apg, 2.9 spg), Alexis Yetna (11.9 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.2 spg), Justin Brown (8.6 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.0 apg).

The Green Wave are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a ATS win and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Bulls are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win.
Tulane put together a solid effort at home agianst SMU, however, this is still a team that has lost 9 of their 11 games and is just 1-6 away from home this season. Tulane has struggled on both ends of the court as they come into this match-up ranked just 301st in scoring offense & T-252nd in scoring defense. South Florida has been outstanding defensively this season as they rank 54th in scoring defense, 76th in defensive FG%, 15th in steals per game, and 11th in rebound margin.
South Florida hasn’t played the toughest competition en route to their 11 victories, however, they did beat UConn at home and gave Georgetown all they could handle in a 76-73 OT loss in the Jamaica Classic earlier this season. This is a lot of points to cover, however, as I just don’t see the Green Wave scoring more than 50-60 points in this one, I think the Bulls offense will be able to do enough on their home court to cover this large spread.
