South Florida Bulls +1.5 O/U: 129.5
The UCF Knights and the South Florida Bulls will meet up on the college basketball circuit Wednesday.
UCF enters this one on a 20-6 mark so far. The Knights are 4-1 in the last five games, dropping to Cincinnati and taking out SMU, South Florida, Memphis and SMU again during that time.
In the win over the Mustangs, UCF’s lead scorer was Tacko Fall, with 23 points and 20 rebounds. Collin Smith added nine points with 10 rebounds for the Knights in that one, and BJ Taylor had 14 points.
Over on the USF side, they’re 18-9 on the year. The Bulls are 1-3 in their last four games, taking out Florida College and falling to UCF, Temple and Houston in that span of outings.
In the loss to the Cougars, USF’s lead scorer—and the only player on the team in double-figures—was David Collins on 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Michael Durr pulled down nine rebounds and seven points for the Bulls there as well.
The Knights are 4-0 ATS in their last four following an ATS win and 5-0 ATS in their last five overall. UCF is 5-0 ATS in their last five versus the AAC and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 Wednesday games and 0-4 ATS in the last four overall. USF is 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the AAC and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five versus a team with a winning road record.
UCF looked really strong against SMU in their last outing, jumping off to a 41-18 halftime lead in an eventual 95-48 beatdown. The Knights aren’t quite ready for that next tier of competition just yet, but they’ve got a great squad and took a 78-65 home win the last time these teams met up.
The Bulls should get a bit of a home lift here, but I don’t think it will be enough to get within that thin line. I’m sticking with UCF on the road cover here.
