Monday college basketball action pits the Utah Valley Wolverines against the South Florida Bulls in the CBI quarterfinals.
The Utah Valley Wolverines scored a 92-84 victory against the Cal State Northridge Matadors as an 11.5 point favorite in the opening round of the CBI.
Jake Toolson led the balanced Wolverines with 21 points, four pulls and four assists with Baylee Steele adding 19 points and hauling in 16 rebounds.
Richard Harward gave Utah Valley 15 points and eight boards followed by Isaiah White who netted another 15 points before fouling out in 23 minutes.
The South Florida Bulls came back from an 18 point halftime deficit to edge Stony Brook 82-79 in overtime to advance to the CBI quarterfinals.
David Collins saved the Bulls, pouring in a contest high 31 points with five pulls and five helpers along with seven steals while Alexis Yetna added 15 points and 14 rebounds.
South Florida received 13 points, four pulls and three blocks from Michael Durr with Laquincy Rideau chipping in with four points, four boards, four assists and four steals.
