The SE Missouri State Redhawks clash with the Western Illinois Leathernecks in Saturday college basketball.

The Western Illinois Leathernecks ended a three game skid with a convincing 83-58 victory against SIU-Edwardsville on Wednesday. Western Illinois jumped out to a 13 point lead at the half and were never challenged behind a 58%-30.3% shooting edge that negated 16 extra Cougars shots.

Kobe Webster poured in 22 points with six boards and five assists on 8-11 accuracy including 4-6 from deep while Isaac Johnson gave the Leathernecks 20 points and four pulls on 8-11 from the floor. CJ Duff and Brandon Gilbeck gave WIU ten points each with Gilbeck hauling in nine rebounds followed by a nine point effort from Ben Pyle.

The SE Missouri State Redbirds have won four of five after downing sub-division Missouri S&T on Tuesday. SE Missouri State held a 49.2%-40% marksmanship advantage but committed 21 turnovers and were outshot 13-6 at the charity stripe.

Ledarrius Brewer saved the Redhawks with 20 points and eleven rebounds on 7-13 from the field with Skylar Hogan adding 14 points and four pulls on 6-9 marksmanship. Gabe McGlothan gave SEMO nine points and nine rebounds with Nygal Russell and Alex Caldwell chipping in with seven points each.

Under is 6-2 in Western Illinois last 8 vs. Ohio Valley and Western Illinois are 16-36-2 ATS in their last 54 Saturday games. SE Missouri State are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and over is 14-5 in SE Missouri State last 19 home games.

I can see performances from both sides that conflict but SE Missouri State at home is the side…

SE Missouri State +1

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
