UTSA led by a 46-39 margin at halftime and pulled away after a 13-0 Roadrunners run gave UTSA a 66-53 lead midway through the 2nd half. UTSA held FAU to just 41.0% shooting from the field and 29.4% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Roadrunners was Jhivvan Jackson who had 24 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal.

Defensively, UTSA is allowing their opponents to average 75.2 ppg on 42.7% shooting from the field. The Roadrunners have a rebound margin of -0.3 and a turnover margin of 1.5.
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles won their 4th straight game and improved to 15-9 (7-5 C-USA) on the season after defeating the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, 73-71 in OT, this past Saturday. Southern Miss missed an opportunity to seal the game at the end of regulation due to missed FT’s, however, the Golden Eagles were solid defensively in OT and was able to hang on late for the win. Southern Miss shot 47.1% from the field while holding Louisiana Tech to 38.5% shooting from the field and 35.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Leading the way for Southern Miss was Cortez Edwards who had a double-double with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists.
On the season, Southern Miss is averaging 72.8 ppg on 46.5% shooting from the field. The Golden Eagles are averaging 8.0 three-pointers per game on 37.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Southern Miss has been led by Cortez Edwards (14.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 3.6 apg, 2.1 spg), Tyree Griffin (12.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.8 apg, 2.0 spg), LaDavius Draine (10.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg), and Leonard Harper-Baker (9.5 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.4 bpg).

The Roadrunners are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS win and 25-10 ATS in their last 35 games overall. The Golden Eagles are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games.
UTSA has won 5 of their last 6 games and currently rank 39th in scoring offense, 34th in three-pointers made per game, and 262nd in scoring defense.
Southern Miss has won 7 of their last 9 games and currently rank 180th in scoring offense, T-34th in scoring defense, and 21st in defensive FG%.
UTSA has been a pleasant surprise in the C-USA this season, however, I think their high-scoring offense is going to run into some trouble on the road agianst the Southern Miss defense. Southern Miss has an impressive 8-2 record at home this season and as I think Cortez Edwards will be able to have a solid day agianst the Roadrunners defense, I’m taking Southern Miss to cover this small home spread.
