The Drake Bulldogs visit the Southern Utah Thunderbirds in Friday CIT college basketball.

The Drake Bulldogs were upended 60-58 by the Northern Iowa Panthers in the semifinals of the Missouri Valley tournament and now must regroup for the CIT.

Anthony Murphy led a quiet Bulldogs offense with 16 points and ten rebounds with Tremell Murphy adding 13 points and three yanks.

Drake saw Brady Ellingson and Noah Thomas toss in eight points apiece followed by Garrett Sturtz with seven points and four boards.

The Southern Utah Thunderbirds saw their chance at an NCAA appearance evaporate in a 77-61 defeat to Eastern Washington in the Big Sky semifinals.

The struggling Thunderbirds offense saw 19 points and six rebounds from Cameron Oluyitan with Jacob Galloway adding 13 points and four boards.

Harrison Butler gave Southern Utah six points and four pulls followed by Andre Adams and Ivan Madunic with five points each and a combined ten rebounds.

Drake Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss and  are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games and  are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 road games and  are 18-6-2 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS win.

Southern Utah Thunderbirds are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 non-conference games and  are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games and  are 18-38-1 ATS in their last 57 games following a ATS loss and  are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

The Bulldogs will be without Nick McGlynn and I would need him to play to bet this game so I’ll probably just watch instead…

Southern Utah +6.5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
