Big Sky college basketball action features the Montana State Bobcats visiting the Southern Utah Thunderbirds.
The Montana State Bobcats were denied a third straight win in a 76-64 loss at Denver. Montana State faced a 24 point deficit at the intermission and a late rally fell short with just 34.5% shooting to lean on while the Pioneers sank half of their shots.
The Bobcats received 18 points, three yanks and three assists on 4-11 from the floor and 8-8 at the stripe. Tyler Hall gave Montana State 14 points, four pulls and three steals on 4-14 shooting along with five turnovers while four players scored 5-6 points.
The Southern Utah Thunderbirds look to get in the win column after a 91-49 defeat at USC saddled the team with defeats in three of four. Southern Utah trailed by 14 points entering the locker room and continued to struggle until the final horn with the Trojans holding a 53.7%-34% shooting edge along with 14 more shots.
Andre Adams topped the Thunderbirds offense with 13 points and eight rebounds on 6-11 accuracy. Southern Utah received 12 points from Brandon Better on 4-11 from the field while Cameron Oluyitan added seven points and two blocks along with six turnovers.
