Northern Colorado struggled in the 1st half and went into halftime trailing by a 32-26 margin, however, the Bears found their offense in the 2nd half and was able to pull away late after taking a 63-55 lead with just 2:11 left in regulation. Northern Colorado picked up the victory despite shooting just 41.3% from the field and 30.8% from beyond the arc. The Southern Utah Thunderbirds lost their 2nd consecutive game and dropped to 14-14 (9-10 Big Sky) on the season after being defeated by the Montana State Bobcats, 90-83, this past Monday. Southern Utah gave led by a 40-33 margin at halftime, however, the Southern Utah defense struggled in the 2nd half against Harald Frey and the Bobcats and couldn’t fight back after Montana State took a 74-64 lead with just 4:54 left in regulation. Southern Utah shot 49.3% from the field and 35.5% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Thunderbirds was Jacob Calloway who had a double-double with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The Bears are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Thunderbirds are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games, however, are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Northern Colorado has won 6 of their last 7 games and has been led by their offense that ranks 66th in scoring offense, 70th in FG%, and 31st in three-pointers made per game.
Southern Utah has lost 4 of their last 6 games and although their offense has done a decent job of putting points up on the board as they rank 82nd in scoring offense, the Thunderbirds have struggled defensively as they rank just 285th in scoring defense and 203rd in rebound margin.
Southern Utah has played well at home this season, posting a 10-2 record, however, this is the same team that has already lost at Northern Colorado by a 79-68 margin this season and has lost 9 of their last 10 games against the Bears. Northern Colorado has played well on the road this season, posting a solid 10-5 record and as I think their offense will have success against the Thunderbirds defense, I’m taking Jordan Davis and the Bears to cover this road spread. Good Luck!
