The Fordham Rams and the St. Bonaventure Bonnies meet in A-10 conference college basketball action from the Blue Cross Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Fordham Rams will be out to snap a 3-game losing streak after a 66-61 loss to Duquesne in their last outing. Jalen Cobb led the Rams with 16 points on 7 of 14 shooting with a pair of threes and 9 rebounds while Antwon Portley added 14 points on 5 of 13 shooting with 4 threes and David Pekarek added 12 points on 4 of 6 from 3-point range with a team-high 10 rebounds for the double-double. Nick Honor added 11 points and a team-high 4 assists to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Fordham in the loss. Onyi Eyisi added 8 points and 9 assists of his own in the losing effort for Fordham as well. Honor leads Fordham in scoring with 16 points per game while Portley leads the Rams in assists with 3.2 assists per game and Jesse Bunting leads the Rams on the glass with 5.1 assists per game this season. As a team, Fordham is averaging 69.7 points per game on 42.6% shooting from the field, 34.8% from behind the 3-point line and 67.3% from the foul line this season.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will look to build some momentum after a 73-47 win over St. Joseph’s in their last outing. LaDarien Griffin led the Bonnies with 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting with 7 rebounds while Nelson Kaputo came 2nd with 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting with a pair of threes. Courtney Stockard and Kyle Lofton each had 11 points with Lofton leading St. Bonaventure with 6 assists while Stockard added 4 assists. Osun Osunniyi added 10 points and 12 rebouds to round out the scoring in double figures for the Bonnies in the winning effort. Fordham is 13-29-1 ATS in their last 43 games overall and 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 conference games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record. St. Bonaventure is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the under is 13-3-1 in their last 17 games overall. Fordham is 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.

I’m not overly thrilled with the idea of backing either of these teams but if forced to pick I feel more comfortable laying the points with St. Bonaventure here. Yes, the Bonnies haven’t been good against the spread as of late, but the Rams have been brutal ATS for the last season and a half if not longer. There’s also the fact that St. Bonaventure has won 9 of the last 10 meetings between these two teams, and of those 9 wins, 7 came by double figures. Sometimes a team just has your number and I think that’s the case here so I’ll lay the points with St. Bonaventure in this one.

St. Bonaventure -6.5
