The LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds face the St. Francis (PA) Red Flash in the NEC college basketball semifinals.

The LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds advanced to the NEC semifinals with  a 71-62 victory versus the Sacred Heart Crusaders as a five point underdog on Wednesday.

The game was up for grabs until late with LIU-Brooklyn pulling away behind a 43.4%-36.5% shooting edge including an 11-24 effort from long range.

Raiquan Clark led the LIU upset with a game high 21 points and six boards along with seven TO with Eral Penn and Jashuan Agosto netted 15 points each and combined for 14 rebounds.

Julian Batts gave the Blackbirds eight points before fouling out followed by Ty Flowers who chipped in with seven points and four boards.

The St. Francis (PA) Red Flash knocked off the Bryant Bears 67-63 on Wednesday night to punch their  ticket to the NEC semifinals.

St. Francis (PA) took  a 37-19 lead in to the half and then withstood a monster second half Bryant comeback to win as a nine point favorite.

Keith Braxton topped the balanced Red Flash offense with 15 points and eight rebounds while Isaiah Blackmon tossed in 15 points and snagged five boards.

Andre Wolford gave St. Francis (PA) another 13 points and four yanks followed by Jamaal King who added 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall  and  are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Northeast and  are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games.

St. Francis (PA) Red Flash are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight up win and  are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and  are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 home games.

I know the Red Flash have the better record but at this time of year I favor the the consistent team...
