The Robert Morris Colonials and the Saint Francis Red Flash meet in college basketball action from DeGol Arena on Tuesday.
Robert Morris is sitting at 15-12 on the year. After six straight wins over LIU, Bryant, Central CT State, Wagner, Sacred Heart and Mt. Saint Mary’s, the Colonials lost their last game versus Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday.
In the loss to the Knights, Robert Morris’ AJ Bramah led the way on 17 points with six rebounds. Both Charles Bain and Yannis Mendy each scored 10 points, combining for nine rebounds and one assist there.
Over on the Saint Francis side, they’re 17-8 so far. The Flash are on a five-game winning streak, taking out Central CT State, Bryant, Sacred Heart, Wagner and Mt. Saint Mary’s in that time.
In the win over the Mountaineers, Saint Francis’ Isaiah Blackmon led the team with 21 points and two rebounds. Mark Flagg added 16 points and eight boards, and Keith Braxton doubled up on 10 points with 13 rebounds and seven assists.
Saint Francis is 15-7 ATS in all games this season and Robert Morris is 20-8 ATS versus conference opponents over the last two seasons. Robert Morris is 19-9 ATS after a conference game over the last two seasons.
Saint Francis is 1-1 ATS versus Robert Morris over the last three seasons and 4-0 straight up versus Robert Morris over the last three seasons.
During their six-game winning streak, Robert Morris’ defense was working well, as they held opponents to 66 points or fewer in each game during that stretch. The Colonials had chances to catch FDU Saturday as well, but finished on a 72-71 loss.
The Flash on the other hand have been doing it with offense over their last five, scoring at least 70 points in each game. This one is going to come down to which team can control the pace, and I like the Red Flash a little better in that regard.
