The La Salle Explorers go on the road to oppose the Saint Louis Billikens in Atlantic Ten college basketball.

The La Salle Explorers squeezed by the  visiting  Duquesne Dukes  73-72 on  Wednesday  as a  1.5  point favorite.

La Salle has been one of the most improved teams in the conference with wins in five of six to move up to the middle of the standings.

Pookie Powell carried the Explorers with 25 points and four pulls followed by David Beatty with 15 points and four boards.

Isiah Deas gave La Salle 13 points with Ed Croswell adding nine points and 16 rebounds while Saul Phiri chipping in with five points and five pulls.

The Saint Louis Billikens are shooting for consecutive victories after knocking off George Washington 73-58 on Wednesday.

Saint Louis had dropped five of six before beating the Colonials which knocked the team from a top four spot in the conference.

Javon Bess paced the Billikens rout with 26 points and six pulls with Fred Thatch Jr. and Tramaine Isabell Jr. tossed in 16 points each.

Jordan Goodwin gave Saint Louis ten points, eight rebounds and nine helpers followed by Hasahn French with five points and 13 rebounds.

La Salle Explorers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win and La Salle Explorers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.

Saint Louis Billikens are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and Saint Louis Billikens are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. Atlantic 10.

Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and La Salle Explorers are 0-4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Saint Louis.

The improving Explorers will be put to the test but I’d give them a shot with the points…

La Salle +8

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
