St. Louis, Missouri
Saint Louis Billikens -5
The Rhode Island Rams and the Saint Louis Billikens will meet up in college basketball activity on Sunday.
Rhode Island enters this game at 7-5 overall. The Rams are 2-2 in their last four games, falling to Bucknell and Hawaii while beating Charlotte and Middle Tennessee during that time.
In the Blue Raiders game, Rhode Island’s Jeff Dowtin led the team on 17 points, four rebounds and four assists. Dana Tate (15 points; six rebounds) and Daron Russell (11 points; five assists) were also in double-figures for the Rams.
Over on the Saint Louis side, they’re sitting at 9-4 on the year. The Billikens are also 2-2 in their last four games, falling to Houston and Florida State but beating NC Central and Appalachian State.
In the win over the Mountaineers, St. Louis’ Javon Bess put up 20 points with nine rebounds to lead the team. Hasahn French posted a double-double for the Billikens with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Tramline Isabell had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Rhode Island is 8-20 ATS in their last 28 Sunday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven following an ATS loss. The Rams are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Atlantic 10.
Meanwhile, the Billikens are 23-7-1 ATS in their last 31 Sunday games and 35-16 ATS in their last 51 versus the Atlantic 10. St. Louis is 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 overall and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight home games.
The Rams seem to be playing better since putting up just 50 points against Providence a little over a month ago, and they’ve only failed to crack 70 points in a game once since then (68 versus Hawaii).
As for St. Louis, they’ve had to play two ranked teams across their last four, and actually looked pretty decent against Houston on a 68-64 final score.
The Billikens aren’t scoring as consistently as I would like to see, but I think they can stamp out Rhode Island enough to cover. I’m going St. Louis.
