The Waves are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games vs. WCC opponents. The Gaels are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games, however, are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Pepperdine has lost 3 of their last 4 games and come into this game ranked 89th in scoring offense, 244th in scoring defense, and 281st in defensive FG%.
Saint Mary’s has won 3 of their last 4 games and currently rank 115th in scoring offense, 38th in FG%, and T-76th in scoring defense.
Pepperdine was able to defeat Saint Mary’s at home earlier this season in OT, however, this is a Waves team that has really struggled on the road this season as they come into this match-up with just an 2-9 record in away games. Saint Mary’s isn’t as strong of a team as we’ve seen in year’s past, however, the Gaels have been solid at home this season, posting a 12-2 record with solid wins over BYU, San Diego, and San Francisco and as I think the Gaels offense will have no trouble putting up points against the Waves defense, I’m taking Saint Mary’s to cover this large home spread. Good Luck!
