The Marist Red Foxes visit the Saint Peter’s Peacocks in Sunday college basketball action.

The Saint Peter’s Peacocks fell to the visiting Siena Saints 71-66 on Friday as a 2.5 point favorite to drop to 1-2 in the conference.

The game was tied at the intermission with Marist connecting at 43.9% with nine more looks at the basket to stay close to the 47.9% shooting Saints.

The balanced Red Foxes were led by Isaiah Lamb with 13 points and eight rebounds while Brian Parker added 12 points, five pulls and six helpers.

Marist received eleven points from Ryan Funk followed by David Knudsen and Tobias Sjoberg tossed in a combined 17 points with Sjoberg grabbing six boards.

The Saint Peter’s Peacocks fell to 1-2 in the MAAC following a narrow 60-57 loss  at Fairfield as a 5.5 point underdog on Thursday.

Saint Peter’s trailed by seven at the halfway point but 37.7% shooting and 15 turnovers fell just short to the 52.1% marksmanship of the Stags.

Davauhnte Turner kept the Peacocks in contention with 20 points, six boards and four helpers with Manny Dixson netting ten points with four yanks.

Quinn Taylor gave Saint Peter’s nine points, four boards and three assists while Samuel Idowu contributed six points and seven rebounds.

Marist Red Foxes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and Marist Red Foxes are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic. Saint Peter’s Peacocks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Metro Atlantic Athletic and Saint Peter’s Peacocks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games. Marist Red Foxes are 11-4 ATS in the last 15 meetings and Marist Red Foxes are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in St. Peter's.

Neither team figures to be a threat in the conference but I think Marist wins in the final seconds…

Pick:
Marist +1.5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
