Sunday college basketball pits the Saint Peter’s Peacocks against the Niagara Purple Eagles.

The Niagara Purple Eagles look to get in the winning column following a 97-81 loss at the Rider Broncs as an eight point underdog.

Niagara looked dangerous less then a month ago but have faded since with losses in five of six to find themselves 9thin the conference.

Marcus Hammond was the Purple Eagles top weapon with 15 points, six boards and eight helpers with Raheem Solomon netting ten points and logging six pulls.

Dominik Fragala, Marvin Prochet and Chris Barton gave Niagara nine points each and 17 rebounds while four others added 6-7 points.

The struggles of the Saint Peter’s Peacocks ended for a night in a 65-59 victory against the Marist Red Foxes as a 5.5 point underdog.

Saint Peter’s was not expected to do much this year but things have really gone south with the team dropping eight in a row before Friday’s win.

The balanced Peacocks saw 16 points and five pulls from Davauhnte Turner while KC Ndefo added 13 points and four boards.

Saint Peter’s saw ten points and five rebounds from Quinn Taylor followed by Samuel with another eight points and five boards.
