The Buffalo Bulls visit the Syracuse Orange in a non-conference college basketball tilt.
The Buffalo Bulls ran their record to 10-0 with a 73-65 win against visiting Southern Illinois on Saturday as a 13 point favorite. Buffalo was outshot 48.9%-44.3% but forced 18 turnovers to total a decisive 16 more looks at the basket.
Nick Perkins kept the Bulls a step ahead of the Salukis with 20 points and nine rebounds on 7-13 accuracy including 3-5 from distance while CJ Massinburg added 14 points and five boards on 6-9 from the field. Davonta Jordan gave Buffalo eleven points on 4-7 shooting followed by a nine point effort from Dontay Caruthers.
The Syracuse Orange saw a five game winning streak end in a 68-62 loss to visiting Old Dominion as a nine point favorite on Saturday. Syracuse appeared to be in complete control with a ten point lead at the break but struggled to make shots at 33.3% which made the Monarchs 46% accuracy a winning performance.
Tyus Battle carried the Orange offense with a contest high 23 points and three yanks on 5-14 from the field and 11-15 at the stripe. Syracuse received 15 points, four pulls and four helpers from Elijah Hughes on 4-9 shooting and 5-6 at the line while Frank Howard and Oshae Brissett contributed nine points apiece.
