The Line: Syracuse Orange -22.5 -- Over/Under: 138.5
The Cornell Big Red and the Syracuse Orange will meet up in college basketball action on Saturday.
Cornell comes into this one at 4-3 this season. The Red have fallen to Colgate, Delaware and UConn this season but have also won two of their last three outings versus NJIT and Lafayette.
In the Leopards game, Cornell’s Josh Warren put up 17 points with seven rebounds to lead the team, while they only other Red player in double-figures was Matt Morgan on 12 points, two assists and two rebounds.
As for Syracuse, they’re 4-2 this season. The Orange have lost to UConn and Oregon, but posted wins over Eastern WA, Morehead State, Colgate and Ohio State this year.
In the Buckeyes game, Tyus Battle led the Orange on 20 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Elijah Hughes put up a nice line on 18 points, three assists and three rebounds in 40 minutes of action.
The Big Red are 16-36-1 ATS in their last 53 following an ATS win and 13-35-3 ATS in their last 51 following a straight-up win. Cornell is 0-5 ATS in their last five versus the ACC and the under is 4-0 in their last four versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, the Orange are 5-1 ATS in their last six and 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS win. Syracuse is 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Ivy League and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 overall.
Cornell has put up a handful of duds this season, but they’re scoring better over their last trio of outings—despite a mediocre 63 versus Lafayette (still a win, though).
As for Syracuse, they’re still riding high after the big Ohio State win 72-62, and they’ll come out firing on this one. I don’t think the Big Red can keep up, so the color I like here is Orange.
