The Florida State Seminoles and the Syracuse Orange meet in ACC college basketball action from the Carrier Dome on Tuesday night.

The Florida State Seminoles will look to build on their current 3-game winning streak after a 59-49 win over Georgia Tech in their last outing. Terance Mann and Mfiondu Kabengele each had 12 points as the lone pair of double-digit scorers for FSU in the win, with Mann adding 7 rebounds. Christ Koumadje added 6 points with a team-high 8 rebounds and a pair of blocks while Trent Forrest had 9 points with 6 rebounds, a team-high 3 assists and 3 steals. Kabengele leads Florida State in scoring with 13 points per game while Mann leads the Seminoles in rebounding with 6.6 rebounds per game and Forrest leads FSU in assists with 3.7 helpers per game this season. As a team, Florida State is averaging 76.8 points per game on 44.9% shooting from the field, 33% from 3-point range and 74.3% from the foul line this season.

The Syracuse Orange will look to stay hot after back-to-back wins and victories in 5 of their last 6 and 9 of their last 11 following a 65-56 win over Pitt in their last outing. Oshae Brissett led the Orange with 18 points on 6 of 9 shooting with 12 rebounds for the double-double while Frank Howard added 15 points on 4 of 9 shooting with 3 threes and 4 steals. Paschal Chukwu added 10 points and 8 rebounds to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Syracuse in the win. Tyus Battle contributed 6 points and a team-high 5 assists as well in the victory. Battle leads Syracuse with an average of 17.5 points and 2.5 assists per game while Brissett leads the Orange in rebounding with 7.7 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Syracuse is averaging 71 points per game on 43% shooting from the field, 32.8% from 3-point range and 68.7% from the foul line this season.

Florida State is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games against a team with a winning record and 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall while the under is 13-3 in their last 16 road games. Syracuse is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. The home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.

This is a hard game to call on Tuesday night as you have two solid ACC programs going at it. However, 5 of the last 6 meetings between these two teams have been decided by double-digits and as good as Florida State has been, I just have a hard time picturing the Seminoles breaking down the Syracuse defense. Add in the amount of success the home team has had in this matchup, and I think you have to lay the points with Syracuse here.
