Syracuse Orange -10 O/U: 125.5
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Syracuse Orange will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Georgia Tech comes into this game with a 9-6 record overall. After a three-game win streak over Kennesaw State, USC Upstate and Wake Forest, the Yellow Jackets lost their last appearance versus Virginia Tech.
In the loss to the Hokies, Georgia Tech guard Jose Alvarado led the team on 20 points, four assists and one rebound. The only other Jacket in double-figures there was Abdoulaye Gueye with 11 points and six rebounds.
Over on the Syracuse side, they’re 11-4 this year. The Orange have won their last four straight games, taking out Arkansas State, St. Bonaventure, Notre Dame and Clemson in that time.
In the win over the Tigers, Syracuse forward Elijah Hughes was the lead scorer on 14 points and seven rebounds. Tyus Battle and Franklin Howard each provided 12 points, as well as a combined seven assists and eight rebounds.
The Jackets are 6-1 ATS in their last seven versus the ACC and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games. Georgia Tech is 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 15-5 ATS in their last 20 overall.
Meanwhile, the Orange are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the ACC. Syracuse is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS win and 15-36-1 ATS in their last 52 Saturday games.
Georgia Tech gets credit for going toe-to-toe with a great team in Virginia, as well as crawling their way back from a 29-24 halftime deficit. The Jackets seem to have worked out a few of the kinks they had issues with earlier in the year, and are a better team for it now.
As for Syracuse, they’re on the cusp of getting into that top tier of squads across the nation, but aren’t quite there yet. I fully expect the Orange to win here, but I think GT has enough juice to eke into that double-digit line.
