The Northeastern Huskies and the Syracuse Orange will match up in college basketball activity on Tuesday.

Northeastern comes in here at 4-4 on the year. The Huskies have fallen to Boston U, Virginia Tech and Davidson but taken out Harvard, Alabama, Bucknell and Eastern Michigan.

In the Eagles game, Northeastern’s to scorer was Jordan Roland with 24 points, two assists and two boards. Donnell Gresham had a nice outing as well on 21 points, four assists and five rebounds.

Over on the Syracuse side, they’re 5-2 this year. The Orange have fallen to UConn and Oregon but otherwise beaten Eastern Washington, Morehead State, Colgate, Ohio State and Cornell.

In the Big Red game, Syracuse’s Tyus Battle put up 26 points and five rebounds to lead the team, and Osha Brissett logged a solid line with 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the ACC and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win. Northeastern is 1-4 ATS in the last five Tuesday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five overall.

Meanwhile, Syracuse is 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and the under is 9-3 in their last 12 non-conference games. The over is 7-3 in the Orange’s last 10 Tuesday games.

Northeastern has shown some flashes this year and over their last two games they’re scoring quite well. Facing Syracuse will be a good test for how far they’ve come, and I think the Huskies are up to the task. I’ll go Northeastern.
