The Cincinnati Bearcats will travel to the Liacouras Center to take on the Temple Owls this Sunday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Cincinnati Bearcats won their 5th straight game and improved to 17-3 (6-1 AAC) on the season after defeating the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 88-64, this past Thursday. Cincinnati was outstanding on the offensive end agianst the Golden Hurricane and easily cruised to victory after taking a 62-44 lead with 12:12 left in regulation. Cincinnati shot 49.2% from the field and 48.3% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Bearcats was Jarron Cumberland who had 23 points, 4 rebounds, & 5 assists.

Offensively, Cincinnati has been led by Jarron Cumberland (18.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.4 spg), Keith Williams (11.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.2 spg), Tre Scott (9.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.5 apg), Justin Jenifer (9.1 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 3.6 apg).

Defensively, Cincinnati is holding their opponents to an average of 60.9 ppg on 40.2% shooting from the field. The Bearcats have a rebound margin of 6.1 and a turnover margin of 4.3.

The Temple Owls improved to 15-4 (5-1 AAC) on the season after defeating the Memphis Tigers, 85-76, this past Thursday. Temple was solid on defensive end agianst the Tigers and held a lead throughout the 2nd half after going into halftime with a 41-33 lead. Temple shot 44.6% from the field while holding Memphis to just 39.7% shooting from the field & 4.3% shooting from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Owls was Quinton Rose who had 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Cincinnati has won 8 of their last 9 games and has been led by their defense this season as they rank 8th in scoring defense & 35th in defensive FG%. Temple has won 5 of their last 6 games and has been solid on both sides of the ball as they currently rank 122nd in scoring offense & 160th in scoring defense.

Cincinnati is a solid defensive team, however, there are just 3-2 on the road this season while the Owls come into this game 8-1 at home. The Bearcats can struggle on the offensive end at times and between the fact that I like that Temple is a balanced team and that they don’t turn the ball over, I think taking Temple and the free bucket is the play here. Good Luck!

Pick:
Temple Owls +2
