The Temple Owls look to knock off the unbeaten Houston Cougars in Wednesday college basketball.

The Houston Cougars upped their record to 15-0 with an easy 90-77 victory against visiting Memphis on Sunday as an eight point favorite. Houston led by eleven at the break and traded baskets over the final 20 minutes behind 45.2% marksmanship with 17 Tigers turnovers leading 21 more shots.

The Cougars saw Armoni Brooks lead all scorers with 22 points and six rebounds while Nate Hinton added 19 points and another nine rebounds.

Dejon Jarreau tossed in ten points and handed out six assists followed by Galen Robinson Jr. and Corey Davis  Jr. with eleven points with Robinson adding five pulls and seven helpers.

The Temple Owls evened their AAC record at 1-1 with a tight 85-81 OT victory against Wichita State as a one point road dog on Sunday.

Temple was down 13 points after 20 minutes before a 42-29 second half forced overtime behind 47.7% marksmanship and a few more makes at the line.

The Owls relied on the twosome of Shizz Alston Jr. and Nate Pierre-Louis who poured in 22 points and 21 points respectively with Pierre-Louis grabbing seven rebounds.

Quinton Rose gave Temple 17 points, four pulls and five steals followed by Alani Moore II and JP Moorrman II with eight points apiece.

On paper the choice is Houston but Temple will a tough test in my view…
