The South Florida Bulls visit the Temple Owls for a Saturday college basketball matchup in the AAC.

The South Florida Bulls upped their conference record to 2-1 with a 66-48 rout of Tulane as a ten point home favorite on Wednesday.

South Florida sank shots at 43.4% and were only 15-23 at the line but the defense made that work by forcing 26 turnovers and limiting the Green Wave to 38.6%.

David Collins topped a balanced Bulls attack with 17 points, five pulls and five helpers while Alexis Yetna added 15 points and eleven rebounds.

South Florida received eleven points from TJ Lang followed by Mayan Kiir and Laquincy Rideau with eight and six points respectively.

The Temple Owls continued their strong season by handing Houston their first loss 73-69 Wednesday as a 1.5 point home favorite.

Both teams sank shots in the 38%-39% range but the difference came at the charity stripe where Temple went 25-28 and the Cougars were 11-17.

South Florida are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and under is 6-2 in South Florida last 8 overall and over is 26-10 in South Florida last 36 road games. Temple Owls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and Temple Owls are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 vs. American Athletic Conference. Over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Temple and road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

The question here is whether an improved South Florida is actually improved and compete against a solid home team…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
