The 25th ranked UCF Knights will travel to the Liacouras Center to take on the Temple Owls this Saturday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The 25th ranked UCF Knights won their 4th straight game and improved to 23-6 (13-4 AAC) on the season after defeating the 19th ranked Cincinnati Bearcats, 58-55, this past Thursday. UCF allowed Cincinnati to fight back from a 50-42 deficit to take a late lead, however, the Knights were able to secure the big home victory after a pair of B.J. Taylor FT’s with 1:16 left in regulation gave the Knights the lead for good. Coastal Carolina held Cincinnati to just 37.1% shooting from the field and outrebounded the Bearcats by a 40-33 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Knights was B.J. Taylor who had 22 points, 6 rebounds, and an assist.

On the season, UCF is averaging 73.1 ppg on 47.0% shooting from the field. The Knights are averaging 6.8 three-pointers per game on 35.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, UCF has been led by B.J. Taylor (16.5 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 3.3 apg), Aubrey Dawkins (14.7 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.0 spg), Tacko Fall (11.2 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.5 bpg), and Terrell Allen (7.0 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 4.3 apg, 1.4 spg).

Defensively, UCF is holding their opponents to an average of 63.7 ppg on 39.2% shooting from the field. The Knights have a rebound margin of 2.3 and a turnover margin of 0.8.

The Temple Owls won their 2nd straight game and improved to 22-8 (12-5 AAC) on the season after defeating the UConn Huskies, 78-71, this past Thursday. Temple was outstanding on the offensive end agianst the Huskies and was able to hang on late after the Owls took a 70-64 lead with 1:49 left in regulation. Temple shot 49.1% from the field and 58.3% from beyond the arc in the victory. Leading the way for the Owls was Shizz Alston Jr. who had 34 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.

On the season, Temple is averaging 75.1 ppg on 44.0% shooting from the field. The Owls are averaging 7.6 three-pointers per game on 33.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Temple has been led by Shizz Alston Jr. (19.6 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 5.1 apg, 1.6 spg), Quinton Rose (16.7 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.6 apg, 2.1 spg), Nate Pierre-Louis (13.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.6 spg), and J.P. Moorman II (5.7 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.7 apg).

Defensively, Temple is holding their opponents to an average of 63.7 ppg on 39.2% shooting from the field. The Owls have a rebound margin of 2.3 and a turnover margin of 0.8.

The Knights are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win and 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Owls are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, however, are just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following an ATS win.

UCF has won 7 of their last 8 games and has been led by their defense which ranks 23rd in scoring defense, 10th in defensive FG%, and 34th in blocks per game.

Temple has won 5 of their last 6 games and come into this game ranked 113th in scoring offense, 172nd in scoring defense, and T-14th in turnover margin.

UCF is coming off incredible back-to-back wins agianst Houston & Cincinnati, however, I think coming into Temple is a tough spot for the Knights who had all they could handle from the Owls in a 78-73 victory at home in early January. Temple is playing for at-large bid and as their offense has been solid as of late, averaging 78.8 ppg in their last 5 wins, I think the Owls do enough to pull out a signature win at home in this one. Take Temple in this pick-em. Good Luck!
