The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks look for a road win at the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks.

At 2-9 in the Ohio Valley the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks are not going to threaten the top squads in the conference although they have been competitive the past several weeks. The Redhawks have still dropped three in a row after falling 78-69 on the road versus Eastern Illinois as a 9.5 point underdog. SEMO was up two at the break before fading with the Panthers connecting at 47.6% to account for six more field goals versus the 39% accuracy of the Redhawks. Antonius Cleveland paced the offense with 15 points and ten rebounds on 6-16 with Isiah Jones adding ten points and five yanks. Trey Kellum scored nine points and posted six pulls while Joel Angus III, Jamaal Calvin and Eric McGill netted eight points apiece.

The Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks are trying to make a move in the OVC standings and it’s all been positive lately with three consecutive victories. The Skyhawks come off of a 79-72 rout of SIU-Edwardsville as a 2.5 road favorite. A 38-24 second half run did the trick behind nearly 61% marksmanship while the Cougars couldn’t stay in the game despite decent 48% shooting. Twymond Howard paced UTM with a game high 23 points and six pulls with Myles Taylor adding 17 points and six boards. Alex Anderson scored 14 while Kedar Edwards tossed in ten points and hauled in eleven rebounds with the top four combining to go 25-39 from the floor.

The over is 44-17-2 in SE Missouri State last 63 Thursday games and is 13-6 in their last 19 vs. Ohio Valley. The over is 8-3 in Tennessee-Martin last 11 Thursday games and the under is 7-3 in their last 10 home games  while the Skyhawks are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Thursday games. Not a game where I love either but that means take the points if you dare…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
