Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks +10.5 O/U: 162
The Belmont Bruins and the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks will match up on the college basketball circuit Thursday.
Belmont rolls into this game at 23-4 on the year. The Bruins are riding an 11-game win streak right now, and they’ve beaten Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Eastern Illinois and SIUE in their last quartet.
In the win over the Cougars, Belmont’s lead scorer was Nick Muszynski on 19 points with five rebounds and three assists. Dylan Windler added 18 points and nine boards for the Bruins in that one, and Seth Adelsperger managed 14 points.
Over on the Skyhawks side, they’re 10-17 this year. After a four-game win streak over JSU, TN Tech, SEMO and SIUE, the Skyhawks have lost their last two games versus Murray State and Austin Peay.
In the loss to the Governors, Tennessee-Martin’s lead scorer was Craig Randall on 33 points. Quintin Dove doubled up for the Skyhawks in that one on 18 points and 12 rebounds, and DelFincko Bogan chipped in 13 points.
The Bruins are 5-1 ATS in the last six road games and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 overall. Belmont is 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 versus the OVC and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 Thursday games.
Meanwhile, the Skyhawks are 4-0 ATS in the last four Thursday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four home games. Tennessee-Martin is also 8-1 ATS in their last nine versus the OVC and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS loss.
There’s not much to complain about when it comes to Belmont right now. The Bruins haven’t really even had a close game since a 96-92 win over Austin Peay on January 26, and Belmont destroyed TN-Martin 82-67 the last time these teams met up on February 2.
That said, the Skyhawks have been scoring fairly well lately, and with the home lift I think they can get in and cover here.
