Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks -4.5 O/U: 150
The Tennessee State Tigers and the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks will match up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Tennessee State currently sits at 9-20 overall. The Tigers have lost five of their last six games, dropping to Eastern KY, Belmont, JSU, SIUE and Southeast Missouri State during that stretch.
In the loss to the Redhawks, Tennessee State’s lead scorer was Michael Littlejohn with 18 points and one assist. Thomas Davis would add 13 points for the Tigers in that one and Armani Chaney put up 12 points with five boards.
Over on the Tennessee-Martin side, they’re 10-18 this year. The Skyhawks had a four-game win streak going, but they’ve now lost their last three to Murray State, Austin Peay and Belmont.
In the loss to the Bruins, Tennessee-Martin’s Craig Randall led the way on 17 points with four rebounds. Also in double-figures for the Skyhawks there were Minfeke Sanoe (12 points; five rebounds) and Derek Hawthorne (10 points; five rebounds).
The Tigers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. Tennessee State is 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games and the over is 8-1 in their last nine road games.
Meanwhile, the Skyhawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games. Tennessee-Martin is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 overall and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS loss.
It’s been a tough run for the Tigers lately, but if there’s a silver lining here it’s that they’ve scored at least 74 points in each of their last three games. Furthermore, Tennessee State took out the Skyhawks 68-67 the last time these two met up, so this should be a pretty solid game.
All things considered however, I think the home lift will give Tennessee-Martin enough to bang out a cover.
