Tennessee State Tigers +12 O/U: 155
The Belmont Bruins and the Tennessee State Tigers will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Belmont enters this matchup at 19-4 on the year. The Bruins are sitting on a seven-game win streak right now, taking out Tennessee State, Murray State, Austin Peay, SEMO, TN-Martin, Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State in that time.
In the win over the Eagles, Belmont’s Dylan Windler went off for 41 points, 12 rebounds and one assist. Nick Muszynski, Kevin McClain and Grayson Murphy each helped the Bruins out with 13 points apiece in that one as well.
Over on the Tennessee State side, they’re 8-16 this season. Following three straight wins over TN-Martin, SEMO and Morehead State, Tennessee State fell in their last game to Eastern Kentucky.
In the loss to the Colonels, Tennessee State’s top scorer was Michael Littlejohn, with 16 point, four assists and two rebounds. Also in double-figures for the Tigers in that one was Kamar McKnight with 12 points.
Belmont is 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven overall. The Bruins are 6-1 ATS in their last seven versus the OVC and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 Thursday games.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 home games. Tennessee State is 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 home games.
It’s been quite a ride for the Bruins during this seven-game win streak, and really only one of those outings would qualify as a close game. Otherwise things have been pretty smooth, including January 19’s 92-74 win over Tennessee State.
I think this one will be closer with the Tigers at home, but not enough to push me off the Bruins on the cover here.
