Thursday college basketball brings us a bout between the SIU-Edwardsville Cougars and the Tennessee State Tigers.

The SIU-Edwardsville Cougars come off of a 73-69 loss to Tennessee-Martin on Saturday as a 1.5 point road underdog.

SIU-Edwardsville has lost four in a row and are fighting to stay out of the Ohio Valley basement because of a defense that allows over 80 points per game.

David McFarland paced the Cougars with 15 points and four yanks with Tyresse Williford tossing in another 14 points.

Cameron Williams gave SIUE 13 points, five boards and five helpers followed by Daniel Kinchen who tossed in another ten points.

The Tennessee State Tigers are looking to get back in the win column after an 84-65 defeat at Jacksonville State on Saturday.

Tennessee State has followed a three game winning streak with a three game skid which has the team 8thin the conference standings.

The Tigers  saw  17  points from  Stokley  Chafee  Jr. followed  by  Tripp Davis  who  contributed another  12  points.

Kamar McKnight gave Tennessee State 12 points followed by Emmanuel Egbuta and Dave Morris with eight points apiece.

SIUE Cougars are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and SIUE Cougars  are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and SIUE Cougars are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. Ohio Valley and Tennessee State Tigers are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 Thursday games.

SIUE Cougars are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

Betting on SIUE has become a guessing game and I see some guessing in backing Tennessee State as we never know when each will play well…

Tennessee State -6

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
