Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles +14.5 O/U: 148
The Belmont Bruins and the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will meet up in college basketball activity Saturday.
Belmont strolls into this matchup at 20-4 on the year. The Bruins are sitting on an eight-game win streak, taking out Tennessee State, Murray State, Austin Peay, SEMO, TN-Martin, Eastern KY, Morehead State and Tennessee State in succession.
In the win over the Tigers, Belmont’s Dylan Windler led the way on 31 points with 13 rebounds and one assist. Grayson Murphy added 15 points and seven boards for the Bruins there, and Kevin McClain put up 11 points.
Over on the Tennessee Tech side, they’re 7-19 this year. The Golden Eagles have lost their last five straight games, dropping to Austin Peay, Murray State, SEMO, TN-Martin and JSU in that stretch.
In the loss to the Gamecocks, Tennessee Tech’s Jr. Clay put up 17 points and five assists with three rebounds to lead the team in scoring. Hunter Vick would add 13 points and eight rebounds for the Golden Eagles in that defeat.
The Bruins are 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games. Belmont is 4-1 ATS in the last five road games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight versus the OVC.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 after a straight-up loss and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five home games. Tennessee Tech is 1-3-1 ATS in the last five overall and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five versus the OVC.
Belmont really hasn’t been tested since their 96-92 road win over the Governors back on January 26, and the last time these teams played the Bruins bagged a 79-67 home win over the Eagles.
Tennessee Tech may show some improvement here at home, but with their recent points totals I can’t take them on an ATS pick. I’m going with the Bruins to keep things rolling here.
