The Samford Bulldogs look for another victory after winning five of their last six games. The Samford Bulldogs are averaging 78.5 points on 49.9 percent shooting and allowing 68.3 points on 37.3 percent shooting. Josh Sharkey is averaging 15.5 points and 5.9 assists while Ruben Guerrero is averaging 14.4 points and 8.3 rebounds. Brandon Austin is the third double-digit scorer and Myron Gordon is grabbing 2.6 rebounds. The Samford Bulldogs are allowing 29.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 34.9 rebounds per game. The Samford Bulldogs have won three of their last four road games.
The Tennessee Volunteers look to stay hot while building on their solid 8-1 record. The Tennessee Volunteers are averaging 84.8 points on 47.9 percent shooting and allowing 71.1 points on 39.9 percent shooting. Grant Williams is averaging 19.8 points and 4.7 assists while Admiral Schofield is averaging 19.1 points and 6.6 rebounds. Jordan Bone is the third double-digit scorer and Lamonte Turner is dishing four assists. The Tennessee Volunteers are shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc and 73.2 percent from the free throw line. The Tennessee Volunteers are allowing 32.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39 rebounds per game. The Tennessee Volunteers haven’t lost a home game since January 2.
The Bulldogs are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games, 30-11-1 ATS in their last 42 non-conference games and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Volunteers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 Wednesday games, 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Southern and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win. The under is 5-2 in Volunteers last 7 home games. The under is 7-2 in Bulldogs last 9 overall.
This will be easily the toughest team the Samford Bulldogs have had to play up to this point, but it's hard to argue with a team that's 10-1 ATS on the season and has covered their last six road games. The Tennessee Volunteers are outscoring teams by 22.8 points at home and is more than capable of laying the wood to lesser quality teams. On the flipside, the Vols are just 1-2-1 ATS at home this season and teams sometimes relax just a tad with winter break quickly approaching. This is a massive chance for Samford to prove itself. I'll take a stab with the points.
