The Texas Arlington Mavericks host the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in a Sun Belt college basketball bout.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have racked up five straight wins after routing UL Lafayette 96-79 as a three point home favorite.

Coastal Carolina led by six after 20 minutes and slowly pulled away in the second half behind 57.9% from the floor and 13-23 from deep.

Zac Cuthbertson paced the big offense of the Chanticleers with 24 points and nine rebounds with Ebrima Dibba and DeVante Jones adding 16 points each and a combined 14 rebounds and 16 assists.

Tyrell Gumbs-Frater gave Coastal Carolina 15 points followed by Tommy Burton who tossed in 13 points and snagged four pulls.

The surging Texas-Arlington Mavericks have won six of seven after outlasting Texas State 84-77 in 2OT as a 7.5 point road dog.

Texas-Arlington won the shooting battle 47.5%-39.2% and sank 12 more free throws to offset 20 more Bobcats looks at the basket.

Brian Warren kept the Mavericks hot pouring in 30 points with points, five pulls and four helpers while Edric Dennis added16 points and four yanks.

David Azore gave UT Arlington 14 points and 13 rebounds followed by Rashad Davis and Tiandre Jackson-Young with 12 and eight points.
